  • Guidelines for attendees at the El Paso Jazz Festival:
    1. Respect for Performers: Show appreciation for the performers by refraining from talking loudly or engaging in disruptive behavior during performances. Applaud at appropriate times to show support and respect for the artists. 2. Mindful Seating: Be considerate of other attendees when choosing seats. Refrain from blocking the view of others or saving seats for large groups if not everyone is present. 3. Mobile Devices: Avoid taking phone calls, texting, or using social media during performances out of respect for the performers and fellow audience members. If you are taking photos or videos feel free to tag The Jazz Exchange and Mountain Star Brewery. 4. Food and Beverage: Follow venue rules regarding food and beverage consumption. No outside food or beverage will be allowed inside the premises of the El Paso Jazz Festival. Dispose of any trash responsibly and keep the venue clean. 5. Engagement and Participation: Engage with the music and performers by showing enthusiasm your energy will be portrayed to the musicians and to the entire crowd. Come and dance enjoy the music! 6. Respectful Behavior: Treat fellow attendees, performers, staff, and volunteers with respect and courtesy. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event. 7. Awareness of Surroundings: Be aware of your surroundings and mindful of the needs of others, especially those with disabilities or special requirements. Offer assistance if needed and respect designated accessible areas. 8. Support Merchandise and Artists: Consider supporting the festival and artists by purchasing merchandise or albums of the artists performing if available. This helps sustain the jazz community and allows performers to continue creating music. 10. Enjoyment and Appreciation: Above all, enjoy the music and the experience of the festival. Jazz festivals are opportunities to celebrate creativity, talent, and the joy of live music. Take in the atmosphere, discover new artists, and celebrate the art form of jazz.
  • WHAT IS ALLOWED?
    All Ages Kindness Sunscreen Strollers Service Animals (identification/certification required) only - no exceptions Small baby beach cabanas in designated shade areas and as space allows Canes and similar mobility assistance devices like trekking sticks are permitted as long as there are no metal points protruding from bottom, or concealed. Personal umbrellas in the event of rain, but must be closed during performances Point-and-shoot cameras are permitted, but cannot be used to reproduce the event and must not interfere with other fans’ enjoyment of the event. Be present! Medications and prescriptions Over the counter medications are allowed. If you bring prescription medication, please bring a valid photo ID that matches the name printed on your prescription.
  • WHAT IS PROHIBITED?
    Discrimination or harassment of any kind Bags larger than 20” x 20” x 10” Glass containers Hard coolers Beach umbrellas or beach balls Un-sealed beverages Alcoholic beverages Illegal substances Firearms Tools including knives, box cutters and Leathermen Pepper spray, mace, or any item that could be used as a weapon Flag poles Professional audio, photography and video equipment (no detachable lenses) Laser pointers Chairs over 34″ high, recliners and chairs with foot rests (No Folding Chairs) Chairs are prohibited in “no chair zones” Chairs with roofs and shade covers outside of designated shade areas Plastic bags Plastic straws Pop-up tents Selfie sticks Canes and Trekking Sticks with metal points protruding from bottom (or concealed) Drones: use of drones/UAS in the vicinity of any public open air
  • What are the festival hours?
    We’re a jam-packed day full of live music on Saturday, June 29, 2024! The festival is open to all attendees from 4PM-12AM
  • Conditions of Entry / Restricted Items
    No outside beverages (including water) may be brought into the festival property No weapons, firearms, pepper spray, pocket knives, or any items that can or may be used as an improvised weapons. No flashlights, laser pointers, flares, or fireworks. No bottles, cups, or containers of any kind. This includes flasks! No illegal substances or drug paraphernalia. No skateboards, bicycles, scooters, or personalized motorized vehicles – except for ADA use. No coolers or ice chests No unauthorized solicitation. No masks (with the exception of medical masks), chains, or studded belts/bracelets. No drones or large camera/video equipment (without prior written consent from The Jazz Exchange + Sombra Antigua Winery).
  • Can I bring my backpack/camelback/large purse?
    No, larger bags will not be allowed within the event grounds. All bags are subject to check upon entry.
  • Will there be ATMs at the festival?
    No
  • Will I be able to purchase a alcohol at the festival?
    Yes, you will be able to purchase craft beer, wine, water, and soft drinks from Mountain Star Brewery only.
  • Can I re-enter the festival once I've left?
    Yes, all attendees will have wristbands, but you will check-in again and any items that are brought in with you will be checked on by our security and check-in desk.
  • Can I buy beers at the festival and take them with me when I leave?
    No, no alcohol will be allowed off-site. Only if you purchase any Mountain Star Brewery item that is sealed and closed. No other exceptions.
  • Will there be food?
    Yes, there will be food trucks on site to purchase from.
  • How can I become a volunteer?
    We always welcome volunteers! If you are interested in joining our volunteer team, please contact The Jazz Exchange at contact@thejazzexchange.org All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
  • If I feel like I can't drive home, will there be a taxi service available?
    Festival producers highly recommend bringing a Designated Driver with you to the festival or calling Lyft or Uber to get home safely. We will NOT provide that service for you.
  • How do I become a sponsor?
    The Jazz Exchange Jazz Fest would not exist without the generous support of private and corporate sponsorship as well as our community partnerships. Contact thejazzexchangecontact@gmail.com to receive more information on sponsorship opportunities.
  • Is there parking nearby the festival?
    Yes, there will be plenty of public parking at the venue. The main parking at Mountain Star Brewery will be available as a first come first serve to guests as well as street parking and parking lots from neighboring businesses.
  • Will there be security?
    Yes. Security will be on hand to report to emergencies as quickly as possible and make sure everyone enjoys the festival safely! Attendees will be checked by the security Aggressive and disruptive behavior is unacceptable.
